Water donations for Red Cross
Water donations for Red Cross

Recently many Americans have been affected by hurricanes in our country. Gwin students decided to show excellent character and take action to help those in need by donating canned goods, water, socks, and other items that are desperately needed by those who have experienced such tragedy. These amazing students, such as Josiah and Noah Maldonado, who brought in many large cases of water to donate, have gone above and beyond to show compassion to others in a time of great need.

In addition, Gwin Elementary hosted a Hurricane Relief Hat Day on September 8th. Students and faculty brought in $1 to wear hats for a good cause. Gwin Elementary raised $423.75 for the American Red Cross to use in both Texas and Florida for those in need who have lost their homes and other belongings. Way to go, Gwin!
